SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Home2 Suites by Hilton® Memphis/Southaven, owned by Vista Host and Cohen Investments and managed by Vista Host announced that Barnabas Chamberlain has been appointed general manager of the new Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel located at 6750 Southcrest Parkway. The four-story, 105-suite hotel is currently under construction and is scheduled to open September 2013.
As general manager, Chamberlain will be in charge of directing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services and satisfaction, hotel administration, and overseeing marketing efforts.
"Barnabas has a dedicated and impressive record in hotel management and we are confident that his strengths will be a key factor in the success of this new Home2 Suites hotel," said Joe Viglietta, Vice President of Operations and Sales & Marketing with Vista Host.
Prior to joining the Home2 Suites by Hilton Memphis/Southaven, Chamberlain was serving as the General Manager of the TownePlace Suites in Bossier City, Louisiana. Chamberlain is a graduate of Geneva College and holds a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources, and has previously been heavily involved in local church activities and service opportunities including working alongside his wife, Leesha Chamberlain, at the Cavanaugh House mentoring juvenile boys. The Chamberlain's also participated in the Relay for Life on the TownePlace Suites team in Bossier City this past year.
When completed, the new Home2 Suites by Hilton Memphis/Southaven will provide guests with the amenities and services they need to feel comfortable while traveling, such as easy access from I-55, a plethora of shopping and dining options located in the center of Town Center Shopping Mall.
